Good gosh! $5000 for stripes and $4000 for a cd player? A single disc at that! That's insane! Ford, there is only one, count 'em, one, Bill Gates!

The $4000 cd player has the sound quality of a BOSE, and lets face it, if you are spending $145k on a car , what's another $4k??

Agreed.

Sound quality, while greatly desired, has little to do with this car.

Besides its a Mac. So I take it its compatible with i-pod?

Look on the bright side, there is no charge for a front licsense plate bracket

McIntosh stereo equipment and Macintosh computers aren't the same thing.

I thought the 4 grand systems sold by Bose all have three mini speakers!

The reason that there isn't an in-dash multi-cd is due to the fact that there is no room for one!

McIntosh audio systems are infinitely better than anything Bose could ever produce. It's almost a bargain to pay 4000 for a full McIntosh sound system. I know I'd kill for the funds to put an aftermarket system with Mc amps and MBQuart components in my '05. Their amplifiers are probably the best in the world.. to give you an idea of prices.. check out this page.

I agree. I get a kick out of all the stereo posts over at the 350Z forum. Most of the people there opt for the base stereo over the "upgraded" Bose stereo!
