Good car for a teenager? suggestions?
Only three cars that come to mind with 140-ish hp, 5-spd. manual trans, FWD are either the Mazda 3, Ford Focus, or a Civic.

Those engines are absolutely rock solid and very easy on oil. Motorcraft 5W20 Synthetic Blend gives outstanding results in those engines.
Change the oil every 5000 miles (7500 if you do mostly highway miles) and the G05 Radiator Fluid every 5 years and the car will last 300,000 miles.
The factory fill in the MTX75 trans is a very high spec Group IV PAO Synthetic. Basically the same thing thats factory fill in the 2011 5.0 MT82.
