All cars and trucks except for the 'vette.

Will Ford follow suit next? If so, I'll bet the 'stang and the GT would be excluded.

Somehow I don't think this is going to do anything for GM's bottom line.

The automobile industry is not the airlines. It would take a recession and poor sales all around for a long period of time, such as the one GM has endured, for Ford to jump on a sinking ship.

Ford has a fresh lineup and is selling with low incentives on the 500, freestyle, etc.

This is just an attempt to get cars off the lots.

The GT's dont stay on lots period. Fords trucks are pretty close to, they sell constantly around here.

I'm tempted to go down to the Pontiac dealer next week and take a look-see on the pricing of the Goats

I think GM is mainly doing this because they want to get rid of the trucks and SUVs that are on their lots. They dumped a ton of money into refreshing their truck/SUV line and I guess they don't want a lot of older, cheaper "previous gen" models still sitting around when the new ones come out.

Even though I could have picked up last year's Goat for $24,000 with incentives some months ago, I see no reason not to wait for the Shelby or SE Stang. However, for someone waiting for an excuse to pull the trigger on a GTO, this is probably a great one. (No pun intended.)

It's a goat! An UGLY GOAT at that! ! A POS! Leave it there! It's where it belongs; on the lot, with all that other GM junk!

As for the $21k.............$21k to much, in my opinion

Guys - I was just curious. I'd never go to the dark side and take a Goat over my Pretty Pony .

The employee discount is indeed true - you'll see a link if you go to www.gmbuypower.com

An '05 GTO, with the employee discount would cost me $30,293. Hey, where did you see and '05 GTO for $21k? That is a steal...if I was a goat-fanboy that is.
