So are they going to go for 605hp?.. what happens if the Viper makes a higher end model too. then the vette will again have less power.

 

I think the door is still wide pen for Dodge here. The Viper V10 is still based on the old smallblock-based design IIRC and not on the new Hemi V-8. Were Dodge to retool and employ a 'Hemi' V10 at some point, which would seem logical, hp would seem likely rise even more.

Nothing wrong with the old LA-based Viper 10.

Hell, people regularly get as much or more power than the SRT-10 is making from modernized 360s but with 2 less cylinders and less displacement...

 

Yeah, wasn't that rumoured for Gen3 Viper (2010ish)

Man..seems like 2010 is THE year for redesigns.
