I would never buy something like that, from GM or Ford.

If I'm buying a truck, I'll get a real truck like F-150. Not this.

Nah, me either. It looks pretty good, I guess, but I've never quite understood the appeal of this bodystyle.

Who needs a trailer when youve got one of those? I believe astroturf was mentioned? You could just pitch a tent back there... or just rough it and sleep on the "grass".

And in regards to the typhoon... El Camino > Ranchero

El Camino like the Camaro is just another example of GM following the lead of Ford, but not doing it as well.

Looks OK from the doors forward...

I’ve always only ever liked (a few of) the El Camino's and Ranchero's from the doors forward. That open bed on a car look does absolutely nothing for me. I guess it’s not as bad as lowering a perfectly good truck. Besides everyone knows all real pickup trucks have 4X4.

While I think lowered BOF sport trucks can be quite nice when done right, I've never understood the appeal of the El Camino archetype. Sure, alot of them looked good from the B-pillar forward, but I'm much more interested in the muscle coupes or sedans they're based off then something with a bed hanging out the back.
