Chaps,

My father in laws car has been brought to an abrubt halt because the fuel pump has given up the ghost. Is the fuel pump in this car the same as the 5.0 mustangs of the same year? I cannot seem to find a pump for the t-bird, but there are loads for the Mustang.

Any help appreciated (especially if you can point me at a dealer that ships internationally!)

THanks

James

DOH! You sent me a link....I didn't read the thread title.

Unfortunately those pumps are not the same as a Mustang. Walbro does still make an upgraded pump for them and Auto Parts stores sell stock replacements...at least here.

Try this guy...he may ship overseas to you....

Really?? Crap!!! I have just sourced a 5.0 fuel pump from a guy that lives here (midly used from a 5.0 stang)! Can we not do some mods for fitting that will be cheaper than shipping it from the states?

I have a '90 Super Coupe and swapped pumps...it was larger in diameter than the Fox Version. I can't tell you if it would work or not...you would have to try I guess.

I hope that tank is near empty....you will have to tilt it forward as you drop it as the fuel pump is located toward the front of the tank on the passenger side and if you have more than 1/8 of a tank you may have fuel pouring out when you break it loose to remove the pump.
