Anybody have any tips on how to get a nice exhaust sound from a Ford Ranger 3.0? My teacher has one and doesn't want a bumblebee drone coming from his pipes, I told him headers an H-pipe and maybe Flowmasters maybe a 40+ series. Oh and I told him to keep his cats or else it will sound ricer as hell

My brother has a 97 ranger with a rusted out glass pack, best ranger 3.0 I've heard. Just sayin.

 

But do they sound good or ricer? Cause he wants his truck to sound American

 

And does he have just glass packs or headers h-pipe and glass packs?

 

New glass packs prolly sound like doody butter. His are all rusted out, his sound good

He's got stock manifolds I think Ys into one w/o cats

Yeah I wouldn't even mess with exhaust on there. Just tell him to get a nice stereo lol

 

That's no help, he's an old guy so he listen more to his ride more than he listen to music. Lol

 

He's SOL then cause I doubt (not saying its impossible) you can make a 3.0 sound good.

I had a Gibson catback exhaust on my 2003 3.0l ranger. Sounded real nice!
