Cool

Snippit...

Pebble Beach this year will unveil a COUPE version of the Shelby Cobra Roadster.

I'm guessing it will have the 'updates' mentioned how it went back to the shop for 'restyling'

The feedback Ford got from the Shelby concept car is that it should be a little bolder like the first Cobras. So they are restyling the concept car which obviously means they are seriously planning on bringing it to production.

Very nice. I personally liked the styling, but I can see where it could get a little less "sophisticated machine" and more "athletic icon".

Wondering if it will be in a more production specific vein than the NAIAS 'concept style'

The crap you smoking?

There is no cammer v10.

427 SOHC (Cammer from about late 60's early 70's, with Hemi Heads).

427 V10 (shares nothing with Cammer cept for 427 CID)

5.0L Cammer (Essentially bored 4.6L Cobra motor, nothing like original cammer engine)

Saw one of the New-build Shelby Coupes at Barret-Jackson this year. Almost messed myself. They are darn fine cars IMHO. Right up there with the GT and the 427 Roadsters. I look forward to the concept.

On the production issue: looking good! You usually don't see this much work put into something that won't see produciton (other than Indigo, maybe). I still think Ford should just ignore reality for a bit and put this in the Z06/Viper price range, but I won't be too sad if it take over the GT's slot.

Maybe he was using "cammer" as slang for an overhead cam engine...

maybe you should smoke some of his stash

The V10 would be nice.. maybe the GT's 5.4 will make it there, or even the 6.1 Hurricane motor?

Picture the Dayton Coupe front end on the concept Cobra.
That would look cool and it will get rid of the flat rear end.
