I noticed an itty bitty picture teasing the Sport Trac but the rendering looks nothing like the Sport Trac rendering.

Interesting . . .

Looks pretty good, though . . . from what I can see.

Thanks Topnotch!

Actuallu that picture is not miniature, it's just that the one you found was tiny. I have seen it much larger, and in multiple angles. It is in fact the Sport Trac, albeit widely stretched and in a darker lighting pattern.

However, it was widely known at NAIAS that the new Sport Trac is a huge indicator of what is to come from the Explorer family.

DETROIT -- The next-generation Ford Explorer Sport Trac will get a V8 engine, Ford Motor Co. COO Jim Padilla said.

The redesigned Sport Trac, Ford's SUV-pickup combo, will go on sale in 2006 after moving to an updated Ford Explorer platform. Ford exhibited a Sport Trac concept with a 4.6-liter V8 at the Detroit auto show.

The concept also hints at a wider, longer production Sport Trac with brawnier styling.
