Cool to see the Fusion, Milan and Zephyr doing well. Surprising about the Land Rover numbers, though!

I like the new Fusion's, but man would it be nice to see Ford make a high performance version. but with the rumors of SVT being dead i guess that won't be happening in Bill Ford's plan to save the world with Ford vehicles instead of making them fun cars that people want to buy.

Make this car not just competitive with Accord and Camry - make it BETTER in every way.
The next step is to completely revamp the exterior of the 500 - not just a front and rear valance facelift, either. Chrysler got it right from the beginning with the 300C - Ford needs to add sex appeal to the 500's exterior, because the interior is superior to the 300, IMHO. Their biggest mistake was not building the 427 concept just as it was. THAT should have been the 500 to begin with. It could have easily competed with the 300C, a car that is selling in record numbers.
Instead, Ford gave us a car that tried, unsuccessfully, to ape the Japanese sedans. When will this company learn that they need to stop worrying about "offending" traditional buyers and start making some bold moves.
Hmmmm...Bold Moves - could be a new marketing slogan for them.

Selling ~9100 units in June.
The Five Hundred sold 9089, up 5%.
However, the 300 has sold more than 73,000 units YTD compared to ~48,000 for the Five Hundred. Be interesting to follow this trend through the remaining months of 2006.
