while Ford has improved greatly in the past few years, they still arent perfect. Win some, lose some....and occasionally receieve a proverbial kick in the junk by Pep boys....

Not only is this the second time they've come up sour grapes on a name recent;y, its the second time with a name they origionally created. Ford's gotta take better care of its image property.

I've heard "Falcon" is the new front-runner, dunno how that jives with Ford-AUS but I guess we'll see.

hmm interesting, I dont know why Ford didnt argue that they have continually used the "Futura " name over the years, it has been used on many of Falcon models over here in Australia, I know Ford also had to hand over the "Cobra" name to Carol Shelby even though the name has been used on many Falcon special models, this ruling must be a US only ruling?, for a comapny like Ford not to trademark model names is pretty silly

Ford is going to call the car . . . Fusion.

I like Futura better. Falcon should only be used on a RWD car in my opinion. (Maybe in Ford's future.)

Wow is that a record?... Last post was 4/28, then it was resurrected 7/29.

I never really liked Futura anyway. For some reason it reminds me of "Probe," which was a good car with a questionable name.
