Ford ads swamp motor trend
Ford's finally starting to show off their nice new stuff!
I finally got the November Motor Trend, ya! 5.1 seconds! But there's also a lot of other ford coverage in this issue... reviews of the freestyle, 500/montego, brief about the GT40, GR1 and future mid engine v10, spy shots of the Fusion.
And on top of that, i counted 6 ads for ford cars, plus that BFGoodrich ad with the new stang that brad has on this site. There was a big fold out Super Duty ad at the back cover, an escape hybrid ad, one for the freestyle, the 500 hundred, and for the montego.
Lastly there's one ad that continues on for a couple pages. It starts with a Ford GT at the bottom of one page, the next two pages have a timeline along the bottom about the GT40 through the 60s, the next two pages are a full ad, with the timeline continued at the bottom through 2002 and 2005, and then a big pic of the GT up top, and three little pics of the mustang, 500 and freestyle, with little paragraphs for each one. And on the next page, the end of the ad, describing the sweepstakes where if you test drive those three "regular" ford cars and tell ford about it, then you have a chance of winning a test drive in the GT. Yeeha!
A total of 15 pages of ford advertisement, plus the BFGoodrich ad. That's quite the marketing blitz. Now where are the all out MUSTANG ads?! I guess they wanna wait till people who see the ads will actually be able to buy a mustang when they run straight to the dealer.

I gota get that issue soon, I feel so left out
Yeah, I got that ad from work and gave it to Brad, I took a pic and sent it to him. I have a wallpaper sized one if you want it.

One of the ads in the Motor Trend had a link to enter a sweepstakes to test drive a GT:

The new issue of MT has numerous Ford ads, and I find myself staring at the 2-page Mustang spread for minutes at a time. They also have a 2-page nonconsecutive ad for the Lincoln Mark LT truck. Man, that thing is gorgeous.
