First Bentley SUV
I think that this car is really cool. This could really catch a lot of attention. While crucial opinions could differ as to the stylistic value of its line, the automotive world paid witness to a brand new Bentley SUV as the 2012 Geneva Auto Show. The Bentley EXP 9 F was presented Monday in Switzerland, and according to Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer, the new SUV embodies “British understatement.” Enthusiasts of the British luxury automaker have been waiting for it to join the quality SUV field for some time. Barf.
I really don't understand everybody's craze with these show-offy SUVs now days. The BMW X3/5, Mercedes GL class, Porsche Cayanne, and now this hideous thing. An SUV should be a sport-utility-vehicle. With emphasis on the sport and utility parts. Not a cruise around on your 24" wheels with your stereo bumpin' outside the club vehicle.

There are only few real SUVs in the world (Jeep Wrangler, Mercedes G-Class, Toyota Land Cruiser, Lada Niva).
I understand Bentley's move with this SUV - I read somewhere that 90% of Bentley owners also have a SUV in their garage so this was a logical move.

For my part... Blech. Way to uglify your brand, Bentley. That is *hideous*.
That was wow! Bentley could really go beyond Porsche Cayenne with this brand new designs for the luxury SUV industry. Actually on Monday at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show, Bentley revealed that it has plans for the luxury SUV market. The Bentley EXP 9 F concept was revealed, a mix of muscular physical appearance and real power under the hood. It won't hit dealers until at least 2015, says CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer. A payday loan can help you get your car fixed, so you do not need a new one.

I could care less about what Bentley is building these days but this seemed like a natural introduction. But the design is awful. Bentley is already looking to redesign which is a smart move. I don't see why they would target Porsche if only for a performance aspect. I would see this as more of a Land Rover competitor. As this is for the even more opulent than your Porsche owner is even. But whatever. This really isn't groundbreaking in any way. And I agree with earlier comments late to the party. But with these brands I don't know if there is such a thing. It's not like this is the audience that needs good fuel mileage or anything. Carpool the hockey team and whatnot.
In response to why would people buy these luxury SUV's? Well people like the room, they like the space and some of them will out perform many sport cars on the market. From their standpoint, what's not to love. Just because I don't see it necessary doesn't mean I don't understand it.

That sound you hear is me both gouging my eyes out while laughing hysterically.
People have been buying hideous SUVs for decades, so why would it stop now? Just because you have money doesnt mean you have good taste. Witness the Land Cruiser, dollar for dollar, the ugliest SUV on earth IMHO, though they finally fixed them with the new design.
