The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Better than I've expected.

Beginning was really good, race between Monte Carlo and Viper.

I dont really have any interest in seeing the movie. What I did like, though, was a short making-of clip I saw. You should see the way these guys drive. the things a professional driver can do with a car are incredible. They have complete control of the car as it slides through sharp turns at high speeds. it's pretty cool to watch.

Just hope it doesn't "inspire" more idiots to copy the stunts on the street where it doesn't belong. And no, I don't intend to see this movie either - knowing how they trash the 'Stang in the movie.

It looks like 5 of the 6 '67 Mustangs used in the movie DID have Ford V8 engines in them and were the ones used in the stunts:

yeah, I liked the movie, but I was disgusted when they stuffed that Nissan engine into that beautiful Pony. Just didn't sound right, kinda like Hulk Hogan with Pewee Herman's voice...

I havent seen the movie yet but saw on some websites the nissan engine in that mustang and couldnt belive it. Why would they do that? Also dose Vin Diesel make an appearance in the movie like on the commercial for the movie?

It makes since why they added Nissan's engine on Mustang.

Vin Diesel makes appearance at the end of the movie for the final race.

The idea of putting anything Nissan into a classic Mustang should be punishable by...well....punishable.

good movie, i thought the end was pretty cool. I know how horrible it was that they put the engine in the nissan, but at least there was a reason in the plot, not just "hey that'd be cool"

i love that monte carlo, makes me want to find a 70-71 torino

Yeah, I finally got to see this, once I picked up the DVD. I got to say, it was alot better than I thought it would have been. Plus the ending was great. Nice suprise. Oh, and BTW, the actress Nathalie Kelley, playing the girlfriend role.. HOT!!!!

I watched this movie a few weeks ago with my kids. It was entertaining in cartoonish sort of way. It's like the movie version of a bunch of racing video games (Tokyo Extreme Racer, SRS, Midnight Club, etc). "Initial-D" seems more realistic after watching "FF Tokyo Drift" and "Initial-D" is animated

During that segment where the hero dude is racing the Viper, I was expecting him to launch off a ramp, fly over a house and take the lead, while yelling "YEE HAW" Dukes of Hazzard style!

Then when he rolls his Monte Carlo, my kids and I like to freeze-frame the scenes where it shows the him rolling around in the car as it flips. The expressions on the hero dude's face are priceless
