Look at the hiney-end of this car! Oh, yeah, and it even has the '05 Mustang's optional "concept" rims!

I would never compare a Chrysler product to a Mustang.

(Sorry, I grew up in a very Pro-Ford, Anti-Chrysler family.)

Not a terrible car.

Not even close to a Charger. Dodge gets a C- ... barely.

And remember how sweet the concept looked?

Google Search of Charger Concept Pics

Such potential. Truly a shame.

It's the full size 300C with different lights and a different rear roofline.
I like the idea of using the old Chrger name,. but like the '68 T-bird compared to the '57...it just ain't the same. A totally new Charger, similar to the original would have been nice. And remember, the original Charger was a Dodge Coronet with a fasat back roofline...but it was amazingly sweet! Old age counts for something!

I wouldn't buy it, but considering how well the 300 is doing I have a feeling they will sell these just as well.

I like the 300 more. The charger just doesn't evoke an emotion.

I agree. I'm dissapointed. I sense another GTO reaction.

While it will make a nice, sporty sedan, especially in SRT trim, I still don't think it deserves the Charger name.

They could have shortened the chassis a bit and built a nice fastback coupe that would be a Mustang competitor, especially with the LX chassis which seems pretty good.

I still want to see the car in person. What is lost from the pictures is the way the rear quarters have shoulders.

Looks like a decent car, the should have called it something else.

I'll take that bet. Unlike GM, DC has some stigmata going around the "Hemi" name. I have a feeling when people see the 300c styling, which is already a favorite, coupled with the Hemi advertising that is bound to follow, people will eat it up.

Sometimes the stupidity of car com[panies astounds me. Dodge could have had a major hit on their hands but instead builds something like this.

sorry but this car looks awful, I think dodge did a very bad job on this you dont turn a world famous muscle car into a family sedan, stick a hemi in and say its an automatic classic! BAD JOB :notnice:

man, i'm shocked at the responses i'm reading. Ignore the name, which we can all admit is a mistake, and just think about what this car is. Its a sedan that has a beefy front end, angry looking, forward leaning nose, nice hips over the back wheels (the 05 stang shoulda had those, i hope we see some soon) and a fastback roofline stretched over four doors. And an optional 5.7L V8.
If this is what the Ford 500 looked like, you'd love it, admit it! Its just too bad that dodge went with the charger name. But hey, for someone who needs a family car, this thing is pretty sweet.

I really can't get over those hips, lets see some on a 2010 stang or something.

Dodge needs a new four door a lot more than it needs a muscle car right now. They'll make lots of money off of this. But ya, they shoulda saved that name for a mustang competitor somewhere down the line.
