Has anyone seen one or driven one?

We are leaning on purchasing one to replace the Alero..Hubbys reasoning is we already have a mustang. don't need two

So I wonder if they are a POS or lovely to look at?

I've seen them drivin around. They are much more musclecar like in person. Besides 2006 Mustangs, I think they are one of the coolest American cars out there. IMHO.

April, I have seen several. IMHO they look more like an update of a Checker cab than a Charger. (Probably dating myself there)
Not pretty in my eyes.

I've seen a few Chargers and have driven the Magnum, the station-wagon sister.

It looks great in Black. Very pronounced lines, leans toward old-school looks.

Performance wise, the Magnum HAULS. Definitely goes, and you have a choice of engines. The Charger must be better in the performance department.

If I were in the market for a family sedan, Charger would be on the top of the list.

Same here. A black charger with a black grill looks awesome.

I want another mustang- But to be fair, I already have one-and this car is for my husband, he likes it. He REALLY likes the magnum too. He doesn't want a second mustang- even If I found THE MAN- a comp. orange still under warranty.

There is a charcoal one at the Dodge dealer here, its interesting looking. BUT I don't like going onto car lots- I feel like I need to bathe when I leave.

Why would you want Charger? Get Ford's truck while Ford is still offering family discount, you won't be disappointed, trust me. F-150 extended version 4x4 for $21,000 ... it doesn't get any better than that.

Seen and sat in one in the dealer. Not too bad. Lots of interior room, but I found the interior is kinda bland and just looked really plastic-y. Trunk is of good size. You lose headroom in the back seat 'cause the roof is sloped.

Wait for the SRT version of it.

SRT Charger = ~$38-40k, why bother? Seriously, if you want to look at something look at that 300C with the Hemi, it's a much better looking car and you won't feel like you're driving an insult to a legend

True true.....

I will not pay that for a car- ANY car BTW.

I am honestly pushing for ANYTHING but another GM(general maintenance) vehicle. My alero is the QUEEN of POS cars.

I'm with Zoran on this one April. If your husband insist that he doesn't want another Stang right now why not go with an F-150? This way you can use it to haul new things to your new house. Plus its a better all weather vehicle.

You really should sit down with him and look at the big picture and into the future on this matter instead of just the present time. I think going with another RWD vehicle right now is not a wise choice. Just my .02

Funny you should mention that.........
Brian loved the Dark stone f-150s.. Funny thing is My Dad did too. My Dads truck blew up- guess what he bought? Now Brian doesn't want one anymore.

What did he do to it. It takes a lot to damage an F-150. Did he beat the vehicle or maintain it? Sounds like he beat the crap out of it.

The F series is the toughest on the road, not to mention the highest safety rating from IIHS.

Well you see when we lived in the "hole" AKA Marion Alabama- All of us were driving over 200 miles a day. And another jillion on the weekends to get out of the hole and into dinner etc.
My alero Bit it..
My ex Bronco went through two engines and a transmission
And My Dads truck gave up and puked its motor

200 miles a day!?!!? Geez! Sounds like you got your money out of it. That would average to about 73k a year! How many miles were on the vehicles when you sold them?

WHEN I SOLD THEM?????

My alero has 160,000 miles on it now..Its going bye bye when this house closes. It had 28,000 miles on it when we moved down there.
The Bronco had 98,000 on the second engine..Our friend has it now, we sold it for $1.
My Dads truck had 230,000 miles on it and he sold it for scrap.
In Contrast- Eleanor has 11,000 miles on her since December(4,700 of it road trips) and I barely drive far in her.

Man, you guys drive a lot. I don't know why you're compaining about Alero, 160,000 for Oldsmobile is a lot. I would be more than happy if my Intrepid could last that long without any major problems.
