Did I spy some undercover VW mules?

I spotted these covered VWs on a drive up to northern Colorado...I don't know if they were mules. I have never seen cars on the way to a dealer covered this way...any help?

What makes you say they're Volkswagens?

Just the fact that there was a Rabbit also on the trailer and the silhouette of the cars was very VW-esque...but I don't know for sure...

I like em. Kind of monochromatic theme going there. Whites not my color, but maybe black.

Probably protective layers to fend off industrial/rail fallout during shipment. However, that is the MOST I've ever seen applied to one vehicle. IIRC, the US automakers hardly use any compared to the Euro and other import brands. And that made it a lot tougher to clean the car during PDI.

Audi frequently ships cars like that - with a big Audi symbol on the white cover.

Yup, there is a car carrier that parks near me all the time and when there are Audi's on it they are always covered like that.

I thought the same thing myself when I first saw them. The next few days there were other brands of cars on the carrier, then the covered Audi's appeared again. I now see them on a regular basis.
