Diary of Mark's 08 Vette.
Well.... I wanted to start this a while back, but I never got around to it. In the next few months there should be a lot going on with my car. Yes, I could have posted this on a Corvette forum but most of the people over there are old farts that don't care what I do to my car.
So I've had it for a little over a year now and my mods are minimal. I have a Borla Stinger catback and x pipe, Z06 spoiler, DBA drilled rotors, 20% window tint, leather covered center console and a few things painted under the hood.
This is the day after I bought it...

After a few mods...

One trip to the drag strip...

Now that the winter is near and I have BIG plans for next years show season, I have some work ahead of me... I dont know exactly what I am going to do, but I have started on one of my many major mods.
Can you guess what I am doing??? This was how my car looked yesterday.

This should be a fun thread... Feel free to throw in your opinions and suggestions.

Looking good! Love that color.
Can't wait to see more.

Who's red vette is that across the street all getting covered with sap?
That would be my neighbors. Before I got my Vette, he took me for a ride in it and I knew I had to have one. Since I got mine he traded that in on dark red (crystal red) vert with two tone leather. He also just got a harley. He doesn't have a garage, but he does cover both of them. He has put almost thirty thousand miles on it in less than a year. The one in the picture had 29K on it when he traded it in.
Bingo! The head unit is an Eclipse 6620. Im also adding a pair of JL 10W3 subs and Eclipse components. The guy that I am working with made the first box that will fit a sub that large and still fit the top when stowed in the back. Im not a sub guy, but I needed bass after the components, and the boxs actually look good and not getto.
He is designing everything out of my car.
Sweet!
UPDATE!!!!
I finished my audio makeover for now. There is only one more thing to do to finish it off. The car has also been completely dynamated.
Here are a few pics of the install...

The finished product.

My amp rack is only temporary until I get my amp to power the components. This is only the start of the project.
Stay tuned!!!

Those fly too. My good friend bought a new 08 automatic stripper and bolted on procharger and intercooler on it. With drag radials and a tune it ran a 10.6 at 127.. NO other mods. amazing.

I can tell a huge difference in the sound coming from the doors. I think I will go on and throw another layer in the back though.
When I decided to put a system in the car, I didn't want something that looked like crap. I think it looks very nice and adds to the look of the interior.
As for the flood mats, they will come in due time. I had some Lloyds mats ordered a while back and after three months and never receiving them, I canceled my order.

If it was a chick I'd cheat on my Stang with her.
We broke up months ago because her 350Z and my Vette didn't play nice. (Not really but that will be my reason for the forum.
