Personally, though that concept looks cool, I think that is about it.

Firstly, there isn't enough room in there for a back seat, and Chevy would be stupid to make the Camaro as a 2 seater.

Secondly, I sincerely doubt that these so-called insiders know what GM will be putting out 3 years from now.

Just my .02

Until I see GM make a concept car from it I won't give it any more credibility than that high school kid who made the great looking orange photoshop.

I Like the Top One, I have always HATED those Stupid Mirrors coming out of the front fenders, even when ford did them first on the 89 Probe.

The top pic is definitely nice. Be a good idea if GM actually produces something like this and actually gets the quality back into the car, but I think it's still early for speculation. Would be really neat if Dodge made a Charger too.

Yeah, I can't wait for Chevy to kill the Camaro too (Impala SS, Silverado SS). Let's see, it'll be the 2007 Chevy Camaro SS with the 200-hp 3500 V6 engine from the Chevy Malibu.

I'm convinced the SS moniker is starting to mean Semi-Sporty.

the silverado ss is a 345-hp High-Output Vortec 6000 V8, and the impala is a 240 hp supercharged 3800 V-6.
the camaro is for sure going to get a bigger engine than the impala, so the Super Sport moniker will be alive and well
actually i wouldnt be surprised if the camaro came with the 300-horsepower Vortec 5300 aluminum small block V8 that is on the SSR or the LS1. chevy isnt bringing back the camaro to get it killed again, they want it to really challenge the mustang.

If the GTO sells well, there won't be a Camero for a long time!
A new Camero would kill the GTO sales! Most of the guys who are buying GTO's ( including my friend who bought one. ) are Firebird & Camero guys! So, GM would have to put the goat to sleep, before the Camero comes back.

Recent bidding by delphi on the dashboard and safety units only makes it obvious that mustang's rival will be back.
Must talk to my family members that work for Delphi to see if they know something. Is it just me, or do the drawings have a slight hint of Cadillac's XLR

I like the top picture best with the scoop from the 2nd pic. The "Javelin"-looking sides are supposed to be like the 69 Camaro 1/4 and fender, just exagerated. Exagerated too much.

Good to have the Camaro come back for competitions sake, but I'll believe it when I see it and I don't expect too much in the quality department from GM.

I have it from a friend who works for Chrysler's testing grounds that there will in fact be a new Charger within a couple of years. He said it will look somewhat like the concept.

FWIW, he also let me drive the Magnum with the hemi in it, and the car was not impressive...it was dog slow.

Wait, let me fix that for you.

That's all that needs to be said There's no concept and GM has repeatedly said there won't BE a concept anytime soon. If they start design on a concept now, you're looking at probably 4 years before a public unveiling, and another 1.5-2 years till production, but that's if they start now, which I don't think they will. Chevy is convinced they don't need the car. I wouldn't look for a Camaro or Firebird for the next decade.

Like the squared off fronts, but the top one looks better(which is why GM should make the bottom one)

A Charger done in a similiar style would rock :headbang:

That's gonna be neat if we get the big 3 back in the game with some good cars. Already know we have a good GT, a good stang, and probably a good shelby cobra roadster in the future. I'm a Ford man, but I'd still like to see GM and Chrysler get their acts back together.

Didn't have much time, so I only coloured the second one and even then they're sort of rushjobs. I used the classic red and blue, then made two with a little "funkier" of a paint job. If they weren't preshaded and pre-coloured in the headlights I would have tried to make it a little more photorealistic, but that and the time constraint didn't allow for it.
Enjoy.

Exactly! By the time we see a production Camaro there will be ten million "new" Mustangs on the road and we'll be complaining the 2005 style is getting long in the tooth and needs to be replaced. The target buyer for the new Camaro everyone's talking about is currently in elementary school.

And the failure of the GTO will not tell GM they released an ugly, bland wanna-be-muscle car -- it will tell them the muscle car is dead and they should study the market in a committee for a couple extra years before deciding what to do about a Camaro.
