Wonder how much they'll charge, if they reach production? I'm not much for custom builds for lots of reasons, but if it looks as good in the flesh, I would actually consider one of these...provided the price isn't too ridiculous.

A lot... lol My guess is 150k plus the price of the car. The classic C1 body conversion for the C5 is around 120K plus the price of the car.

Why is it called the Rossi 66 when the split window only came in 63?

What???

I'm saying that 1963 was the only year for the Split Window!
This thing has a split window therefore I would have called it the "Rossi 63"...

It ryhmes too...

none i dont think....its just that the spilt window says 63 in every way shape and from...its the indetification of a '63.....its reflex....when you see a spilt window corvette....you think '63 and absolutely nothing else.

+1 That is perfectly concise and exactly what I was going to say before I knew how to say it.

If you are going to pick classic identifiable Corvette years of the C2. It is 1963 and 1967. 1963 to start the C2 model with split the window of course and 1967 to finish the C2 with the incredible L-88 motor. This generation also saw the special edition Z06 edition cars for the first time. I have always been partial to the '67 just for the horsepower that could be attained out of the big blocks. But the '63 is the only year of the split window and is one of the most identifiable features on any car ever. If they ever made another Vette with a split window, it would be in my garage soon thereafter.
