Good article, I wonder if he ever will buy a mustang. He probably couldn't take the ridicule from the Hammond and May. You've seen how much they make fun of him for buying the GT, think about what they would say about a mustang.
Oh, and it wasn't Ferris Bueller's dad that owned the Ferrari, it was his friend's dad that owned it
Edit: I'm kinda slow

Here you go! (text from a Daily Mirror newspaper column Hammond writes)
The GS450h is claimed to accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds and hit 155mph. Most important, it can average ' \ 35.8mpg. Prices start at £38,015.
LAST week I had a pop at the Toyota Prius for being not quite as green as people think. Now on sale is the Lexus GS450h saloon and it too uses hybrid technology. The GS450h has a 292bhp, 3.5-litre, V6 petrol engine mated to a high-output electric motor that produces 197bhp. The combination makes this car the most powerful production hybrid in the world.

Now, with an old Range Rover and a 1967 Ford Mustang in my fleet, I'm on dodgy ground in an eco-debate but, all the same, people need to know that cars like the GS450h are not as A ecological as everyone makes out.
A huge amount of energy is required to build them, for one thing.
CLARKSON: "No, obviously. It'd be a terrible buy. Mustangs are like those blondes with hair and breast extensions who hang around in clubs hoping to snare some poor chap who's just been evicted from Celebrity Who Wants to Get Thrown out of the Brother.
"He knows he shouldn't. He knows she has the News of the World's number on speed dial and that he'll be reading about how he performed before he's actually finished performing. But she's so cute. And she wants to bring her friend along. The dilemma."

Only thing, Jeremy, it wasn't Ferris Bueller's DAD who owned the Ferrari.
******.

"And this is true: I do have a weird feeling that if I bought something American, I'm in some way supporting George Bush."
Start mini-rant...
Can't these elitist Euro-snobs write anything without poking at Mr. Bush? Short memories these types have. These folks haven't been able to win any real conflicts in the last 150 years without our help.
End mini rant.

sorry, i just realized that was a little off topic. uhhhh.......................
speaking of top gear and american muscle... how soon till we see a GT500 on their track and what do you think they'll think of it? I think they'll be stoked about 500 horses for such a low price, but they'll rag on it for still having the solid axle... But it'll still tear up their track, i think.
