I saw a SRT-8 on the highway, we were doing 80 in dads truck and he rolled up and stayed with us, i think he wanted to go but dad didnt attempt it. BEAUTIFUL car, April needs to lighten up a bit.

 

I saw one Saturday night at a car meet, the Charger looks much better in person, just needs the last two doors removed.

 

yup, and the first two doors lengthened, it would be sweeet as a 2 door, i want one.

 

I think it sucks- and my opinion remains unchanged. The inside is ugly also- and I despise those stupid slapstick fake manuals.

BTW- idiot "salesman" tried to sell me on the stereo- "It has a 276 watt amp thats the biggest amp of any car on the market".

I looked at him, said REALLY? Mine has a 500 watt in it........and its factory.

okay, why can u diss dodge yet i cant diss chevrolet? You are pushing it here, the charger is a beautiful car, i love the front end and i love the R/T, u should open ur eyes a bit so to speak, and the 06 V6 Pony package is one of fords biggest mistakes, but i dont go around publishing and starting threads about how much i hate those 90 year old specticle style foglights.

 

It doesn't do her any good the fact that you like the car. People have different opinions about cars, you can't expect from her that she likes it because you do. For example, I happen to like new GTO but you hate it.

 

dude i would take a charger srt8 any day.....i think the chargers look awesome in real life....my bro's friend's dad has one for a rental car (but its not a hemi), i it looks pretty cool.....the body shape is great.....but i am really gettin into the falcons....i wish they would sell em over here

 

Those "stupid slapstick fake manuals", aka autosticks are fairly popular for a reason. You can get a quick shift out of them and almost a manual feel from them.
All else being equal, it's better than a 'regular' automatic in every respect.

 

Honestly-
I was more pissed off about the "salesmans" attitude than the Charger. (I would sell my soul for a Charger Daytona). But the back end just doesn't match up with the tough and lovely Front end. And the interior is supremely lacking in looks.

I have driven Dodges before, and I like em..I had two neons and a *COUGH*sundance.

Sides- in the end I have my car- and will for some time to come- I just go look seeing for hubby these days.

hey, the only reason the guy sold me his '99 GT is because he bought a charger RT. i appreciate that at least. i guess if it weren't for the (ugly!) charger i wouldn't have my mustang.

why buy a charger when you can get a 300C? looks way better.

 

I find the Charger to be pretty attractive from the front and sides. But the hind end of the car? :notnice:

Other than that, if the R/T wasn't such a fat pig and had a T-56 as at least an option and was a couple grand cheaper, just maybe.....

 

I just wish the interior and rear end looked "meaner"

I of course would have to buy one elsewhere anyhow.

Well he saw one yesterday- and LOVED it.
This model was the fancy one with a hemi in it(30k).....

He's not picky about things looking just so as I am and he likes the interior and behind of it......

 

These cars are ugly. I couldn't be coaxed to buy one at all. I haven't seen an SRT-8 in person, but I doubt my opinion would change.

And the front end of the new RAMs has been ruined. They did themselves a dis-service.

 

Except for the fact that most of the chassis is from the last-gen Mercedes.....

The LX platform has been selling well, performing well, getting plenty of awards (which doesn't mean much) and is getting good reliability reports IIRC.
