You'll find clearer images of the Charger HERE, including one new side shot we haven't seen before...

Actually that pic was posted a couple of days ago in this thread (along with most of the other pics in your link). You just aren't keeping up with current happenings!

That side view shot shows how "chubby" the new Challenger concept looks compared to the original. The concept's body is just too tall; it has the same sort of proportions that early 50's cars had.
The original Challenger looked sleek, while this concept looks like the Challenger has been eating too much junk food and not exercising.

I read somewhere that this thing could weigh as much as 4100lbs. Don't remember where i read that, ain't gonna try to back it up. What do the LX cars weigh?
Of course, that would mean nothing, cause by the time the challenger comes around, we're supposed to get the LY platform, whatever that means....

It's looking more and more handsome by the minute. I hope they do build it. With the Mustang, Challenger (forget the abomination DCX called the Charger), and GTO I think the American manufacturers will be drawing A LOT of attention from the foreign manufacturers with not only the younger crowd but the "baby boomers" too.
I'll still always stick with my Stangs but can you imagine pulling up to the tree at a track with another late model muscle car next to you!

Gotta agree with you on that one. In fact, if all these cars get built, I'm thinking about starting a "contemporary muscle car club" for fans of the NEW Mustang, Camaro and Challenger (and new GTO), perhaps beginning with a website. It really is becoming MuscleMania 2.

In respects to GM, I don't think it would be in their best interest to revive the Camaro. Simply for the fact that it may take too much interest from the GTO. Since they already have that model going and set to be completely revamped, it would probably be best to stick with that plan.

I like the look of the Challenger but at 4,100 lbs and 197" + in length, that's one large two door car!! I sure hope DC produces it but it will certainly need a Hemi with that weight!!
