Blue Oval Industries

I am looking to replace my headlights on my 99 Mustang and noticed Blue Oval Industries had them for $80/pair on ebay, but I'm always hesitant to use ebay, so I was curious if anyone else on here had used them and whether or not they would recommend them. Thanks in advance for any insights.

another forum has a huge thread about blue oval industries and how horrible their service is. personally i'd never buy from them after some of the things i read and its several people that have had the problem, not just one or two.

Thanks for the quick feedback guys. Instead of rolling the dice, I'll stick with local or go to American Muscle. Always had good luck there.

I bought some mirrors for my 06 stang and didn't have a problem with blue oval industries. I would be curious to read "that other forum" about them if someone will pm me. Everything was fine for me.

I just never considered buying from them. Their prices were nothing better than what I could get from Mustang Unlimited, and their operation online seemed sloppily thrown together.

Just saw this thread. Never again will I order anything form BOI. I ordered one of their trunk lid/spoiler combos for my convertible and after waiting over a month for it to arrive I finally called them to inquire about it. The owner, John - I didn't know at the time, answered the phone and I told him my name and why I was calling and he got all smart with me. I told him I just wanted to know where my order was since they had already been paid, he says do I have a pen handy, I said no but I could get one then he says I should have had one ready. Then he gives me a tracking number and says it should be there that day. I told him I would like to speak to his boss or owner then he informs me he is the owner and I asked him why he was treating me the way he was. I told him if he had a problem with his shipping company he should change companies. By the way, the trunk lid came damaged but I was thru dealing with them.

You're not the only one....I personally know of at least a half dozen people who were treated the same or cussed out simply for asking for a status of their order. One guy local to me owns 3 NAPA stores and simply called to ask about a taillight lens that was not included in the order and he was flat cussed out. This guy has a long standing track record of this....amazes me that he is still in business.

I purchased a strut tower brace from Blue Oval Industries and it came with some scuffs in the finish-not sure why-if it was due to the way it was originally packed when they got it, but nonetheless, I contacted them and they handled it well, sent them back the damaged one, and they sent me a "good" one-which was packaged much better.

well, all I can think of is that for every customer lost there is an unsuspecting Mustang owner looking for a website to purchase items...

...for the most part, it's 50resto for me...fast, $14.95 shipping (excluding truck freight) and a good selection of product.

However, in these economic times I try going t my local performance shop to buy parts because it doesn't hurt to help the small guy.... unless the difference in price is astronomical.
