Best Vehicle Design: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro
I bought the 2LT/RS, not (as the v8 guys like to say on the Camaro forums) because I couldnt AFFORD a v8 but because I didnt WANT one. 304hp is plenty for me, Im just about over my "I need to get to the next stoplight before you do" phase! And 29mpg hiway - perfect blend of power, handling, economy, comfort. If youve read some of the magazines, as Im sure we all do, there were a few that said the v6 handled better than the v8. I love the Onstar thing, if my cell phone ever goes dead or I forget it, the car has its own phone and phone #, plus the navi and the fact it sends you help if you were to be in an accident. I think they can track the car too if it were to be stolen.
I love the interior as well, Im big-time into interiors, which is one of the reasons I didnt get a Challenger, which I also love. Ive never sat in a 2010 Mustang, but with my 05 and 08 GTs, my right knee rested on the hard plastic-center console, and my left on the drivers door, the Camaro is much roomier and 100% comfortable, so that was a nice change of pace.
Truthfully though, and Im not bagging on Mustangs, cause I love them, but if it had a v6 comparable to the current Stang v6 - then I would have got the v8. I dont want a ton of power, but something that can get out of its own way is nice. Drove my dads v6 2009 many times, and what a dog. Great to see Ford is throwing its hat in the ring with the new v6, theres no reason to be ashamed driving a 300+hp car. Also in the back of my mind, and this is a big hangup with me - you dont get a spare w/ the SS. I briefly considered a C6 and this was what kind of killed it for me.
Visibility - Sure its an adjustment, but I just did the side view mirror trick where you face them way out so you never lose sight of a vehicle passing you. Problem solved. Rear visibility is bad for backing up, but it has backup sensors, and I dont back up anyhow unless Im 100% sure whats back there.
I have to start hanging out here more again - its nothing but GM enthusiasts on the Camaro forums, nauseating! I like all kinds of music, I like all kinds of cars.
