Aston Martin Virage

Now don't get me wrong I love AM's (with the exception of that tiny smart car variant). And I love that they are bringing back the Virage name. I just wish it looked a bit less like a DB9 with a updated body and more like a seperate car.

I did a Virage back in 2005. I kinda prefer mine in this case. But I do love the AM version too..gosh I'm torn.

EDIT: you know what ..screw it..I love the new Virage too! The devil is in the little details on these cars. The color is just awesome too!

Apart from that awful Cygnet, it'd take a lot to make a modern Aston look bad. They do, perhaps, look a little too similar though...

Looks good, but I think yours is a little better. it'd be cooler if it was less DB9ey, but i mean you can't really say lookinig like a DB9 is a bad thing

if this bar of gold looks too much like that bar of gold... well... its still a bar of gold

Cool

Beautiful, and my favourite VH platform Aston to day. For me, the DBS was too fussy, but this gives the DB9 just a little more something. I don't think it deserves a new name though......but perhaps Aston will now move away from the DB moniker, now that we have Rapide and now Virage.

I love all the revisions, although I'm not a fan of the bronze colour.

Oh, and that's how to do a rear diffuser

I don't mind the DB moniker. But i do agree the DBS while i do love it is a tad fuzzy in styling. I think this one is a nice halfway point. I love that color and you are 100% spot on about the rear diffuser. Imagine if the mustang had that back end. WOW that would be amazing.

and yes I'll get right on that

The Virage looks more in line with a 2-door Rapide. I think they should have just replaced the DB9 moniker with Virage. DB10, DB11 etc sound retarded. Their lineup could theoretically be Vantage, Virage, Rapide.

Agreed!

I'm a little confused as to how this slides into the AM lineup -- is it replacing the DB9? Fitting in between it and the Vantage? Or DBS? Or something else? Maybe I just haven't read the press releases carefully engough.

In any case, as it typically the case for an AM, a simply gorgeous car.

True about the derriere and how to do a proper end and diffuser. A far better design solution than the droopy bag of lumps, bumps and bulges that is the 2010+ Stang rear end. Where the Stang's rear end is all sagging cellulite, this one is all perky sex.
