Asian car companies oversell horsepower

With stricter new SAE test for horsepower, Toyota and Honda find themselves in the unenviable position of having to state reduced horsepower ratings on many of their vehicles while Ford, Chrysler, and GM are actually able to raise advertised HP on some vehicles. For instance, the initial HP for the Fusion was 210 but is now 221 under the new tests. The STS-V went from 440 to 469 and the Viper went from 500 to 510.

You should see some of the ridiculous "damage control" the Honda and Toyota fan boys are spouting at a lot of the other automotive message boards. They just can't accept that the Holy and Noble Honda and Toyota exaggerated their horsepower numbers.

Its a darn shame when you can so easily spot people who are weak in the force!
