I just heard about this an hour ago but I thought I would share. Ford has announced it will offer most vehicles on a new pricing plan through Jan. 3rd.

The vehicles will cost $100 over X-plan plus rebates. So it won't be as low as the "Family Plan" (which is good) but its still a pretty good price.

This will cover all but Fusion, Mustang or GT and F-450 and above. But it does cover:

05 and 06

Taurus
Five Hundred
Focus
Freestyle
Escape
Escape Hybrid (YES YOU READ CORRECTLY MUSTANG SALLAD!!! )
Explorer
Expedition
Ranger
Sport Trac
Excursion
F-150
F-250
F-350
Freestar
E-Series

I think we're gonna have a lot of people coming in on the hybrids. I already sold one on this plan today!

I'm disappointed that Ford is panicking and reacting to GM's Red Tag event.

The employee pricing schemes were supposed to be the end of heavy rebates, now they have painted themselves in a corner and still selling the deal and not the car.

I can't beleive car companies even make money after all this stuff.

I am as happy as the next consumer to get a great deal but i wish that companies like this didn't have to do this.

aww dude! that's so not fair! no SECRETS!

Am i right in guessing by your thumbs up winking icon dude that ford's got something up their sleeve and they're doing something smart rather than just digging themselves deep into the incentive rut again?

To my knowledge you are correct Jeff, the incentives really aren't as deep as they seem.
