boyd who? oh boyd crapington

im sick and tired of that crap show.

and like most of you, Chip Foose is one of my idols. that guy is one of the greatest things to ever happen to the automotive scene. he's humble AND his cars kick major hiney.

crapington? his cars arent nearly as cool and his nothing but a whiny lil B#$%& who always has a fit when he doesnt get what he wants. one of these days he's gopnna find himself all alone, no friends and a horrible work environment. whats he gonna do then?

Mr. Foose on the other hand will ALWAYS be successful, for his attitude, let alone his awesome cars

now about that show overhaulin.... i've got a II that i could use a bit of help with

 

I don't agree with Boyd's style of management at all. This show is too much like other shows with the impossible deadlines. Let's get rid of the deadlines and just watch the project progress. Sure, keep the funny stuff. The complainers, the whiners, the jerking around. The deadlines kill the show, the project and the interactions between the players.

I really feel Crazyhorse was an awesome awesome project. That was one beautiful Mustang when they were done. Granted, I'd have never done yellow, but that's just me. Still one hel l of a car.

 

Boyd annoys me too, he needs to work out, and drop that gut.

 

I stopped watching when he cut up that pristine Ford Model T. It should have gone to a museum or on the show circuit. :angry:

I think that was in the same series of episodes where Bluebear got fired.

 

No one short of Boyd, deserves it more.

 

C'mon, even though he did deserve it, its still not nice to laugh at somebody else problems.

No way would I put up with his crap and work in a stressfull place like that. There are very few people I don't like and he is one along with that loud mouth on Orange County Choppers that is all mouth and no brains. At least his son tells him off.

 

He's the boss. My boss doesn't do sh-- either.

 

I met Paul Senior, he puts on that loud mouth crap for the show, in real life he is a great guy and he drives a 427 Shelby AC cobra

 

Maybe Boyd is like that in real life too.

Anyway, new episodes should be on tomorrow.

I watch it just to yell at the TV. Boyd is the next Cosell. You love to hate him.

 

I have read both shows are scripted to a point but when Boyd goes off and fires someone.......that's for real, you don't see these guys coming back. Plus you add the whole batch of legal issues and I think Boyd is one of the bad guys out there.

 

Agree with the general dislike of Boyd. You feel sorry for those guys in the shop. they must put up with it for a reason, maybe they all love being on TV, maybe they all get a big bump in pay for being on TV, dont know. I do know that I couldnt get anything done working for that guy.

watching all the car shows lately, I think this has to be a negative for Boyds, as it shows that there are a lot more builders out there than him. there are definitely a lot of very very good hot rod builders out there. If I had the money, I would definitely work with Troy Trepanier or Foose. but I dont have $200k to through at a car, right now at least!

More specifically, Foose won three Riddler awards in a row. That has never been done before. He is the man.

 

Foose is also a lot more hands on than Boyd. He'll get down and dirty all of the time with his men.

Anyone can be a boss, but not everyone can be a leader. Foose is a leader

 

 

When I first started watching the show, I assumed all the BS was "Hollywood" and not true reality ........but I have to believe all these impossible deadlines, etc are the way he works.
Now you tell me: If you had a "classic" car you wanted to have restored and money was not a problem, who in their right mind would have them work on it? Leaks, heck just put some teflon tape on it, and so on.
