ALL-NEW 2009 NISSAN 370Z
I would rate it an improvement over the current 350Z, which I never really warmed up to for a number of stylistic reasons. But I don't think it is as good looking as either the original 240Z or the later 300Z.
It is a bit smaller, compact and lighter than the current car so, with the presumed 30+hp bump in power, should see a significant performance boost over the current car, which is not slouch to begin with.
Interesting rumor is that Nissan is giving some real consideration to dropping in the 4.5 V8. Now that would be interesting though I wonder how they'd market/place it -- go upscale as an M3/Cayman/Z4 competitor or keep it in the same relative price bracket and go after the domestic pony cars.

I have to say i like that new design. Its a subtle change, like the '10 Mustang: just improving on the old. Only thing i don't like is I still dont think the Z has enough unique styling for the car its supposed to be. The original Z cars like the 300 stood out on the road, you knew it when you saw it, period. I cannot make out a 350Z in my rearview at night, because it has the headlights of the Altima/Maxima and the body styling of a Porsche.
This one is definitely an improvement though and I really dig that interior, minus the "gender" seats

looks basically the same....not a fan of anything on the front....I like the color of those seats.
The 350Z's are really nice...my father is best friends with the owner of a Nissan dealership where I am, and I remember when they first introduced the Z car a few year back I got to test drive one fully-loaded....awesome car!....plus, the sound system was incredible, with all bose speakers behind the front seats...I can only imagine the 370 is even better.
If no one has ever driven one of these, let me tell you, the handling and suspension is awesome, IMO.

This Was My Take
This Was My Take On What I Thought The Z Should Come Back Looking Like. I Designed This Back In 1999 If I Remember Correctly. I Know It Was After They Stopped Building Z's. I Was Envisioning Basically What They Ultimately Did With The 350 Z. Get The Z Back To It's Roots. No Twin Turbo's No Super HICAS Suspensions With 4 Wheel Steering, Etc. Just A Naturally Aspirated 3 Liter Six Cylinder Drop Some Weight And Use Some Styling Cues From Previous Generation Z's, A Z That Would Be Affordable For Most Anyone To Buy, Unlike The Last 300 Z's, That Were Over Priced For Their Audience.

And This Was Just A Pencil Sketch I Did Right Before The 350 Z Came Out When I Heard Rumors About The Z Supposedly Being Retro.

I've Explained That's How I Learned To Type. I've Tried To Type With Out Caping, But It Slows Me Down. SORRY TO IRRITATE EVERYONE SO MUCH....I GUESS I'LL JUST STOP POSTING....

No-one is suggesting you stop posting.
I like this car much better than the 350. I believe (provided they keep the price decent) that sales will rise with this iteration.
Nice job Nissan!!
Oh, and BTW, I wonder if the bawl warmer trays come standard with all the seat choices.

Well, I'm up in the air about this one. First off, I didn't like it because it is so round, then the windows are angular, and it is just a mush of things that I don't really understand what they were thinking when designing it. The interior is tasteful, and I wish that the domestic cars had such a sense of style when it came to their interior bits. The seats, I think should both have the bump because it is meant to help keep your legs where they are supposed to be rather than sliding around in the seat. I don't understand the "*****" comment since I sit as far back on the seat as I can, not with my butt at the very edge.
