Alfa 8C

This is the first new car that challenge's AM's number one spot
on my favorite designs list.

Yeah, that thing is gorgeous. And AR seems to have the sultriest show stand models too, very hot yet very sophisticated too.

As for Ferrari Enzo resemblances in the nose, perhaps vaguely, but the AR 8C is much, much better rendered. The Enzo's probably more functional but not the eye candy the Alfa's is.

I hope Alfa is gearing up for more than the 500 or whatever they are planning on producing because I think they'll be able to sell 3-5 times as many easily.

I love this car too, but it's way too pricey: 150-200k for an Alfa Romeo is a lot of dough...

So that's what inspired Subaru's new grille design motif.

That or the Edsel

But seriously, that Alfa is a nice looking car. Kind of reminds me of one of my old favorites, (but doesn't really look like it), the TVR Cerbera .

Pricey, but your really getting more of a rebadge, rebodied Maserati than an Alfa of yore, though even then, Alfa would occasionally come up with some pretty fancy and exotic models (Monteal for example with its detuned race motor).

Yeah, I agree.
Though if you ask me, for that money, I'd take a 911 Turbo (loaded with all bells and whistles. But probably I'd wait for the 08 model, since it's supposed to have DSG available as an option) or if I wanted to save some more money, I'd take the new Audi R8.
And if I really wanted to spend most, if not all, this money, I'd probably look at a Mercedes SL65 or a Ferrari F430...
This of course doesn't mean that this 8C is rubbish, hell no on the contrary. But way too pricey, IMHO...
In any case, those 500 8C will be sold in a hurry, I have no doubts...

That is a nice looking car, no doubt, but not in AM design territory imo.

I'm gonna agree with Lalo here..it is nice..but AM is just lightyears ahead in coolness and sophistication and sex appeal

Nice, but not great, and this is coming from an Alfisti. I prefer the styling of AM's, although the visceral appeal of almost any Alfa grabs me more. You have to drive one to know what I mean.

i dunno bout you guys, but seeing this video makes me definitely agree with Blip on this one. I can't say whether I actually like the looks of this BETTER than an AMV8, but its definitely at least a tie, for me anyways.

its a good looking car no doubt but its no AM.

the front headlights and fender shape remind me of a Panoz Esperante

Okay, it hasn't displaced AM's top spot on my list, but it is a real challenger.

My problems are that it ages too quickly, an AM still looks great if I stare at it all day, this just looks OK after a few looks. On top of that the detail work is rather unrefined, likey they used a paint brush that was a couple sizes too big when concieving it. It still looks good, no doubt.
