30k to spend on a car
What would you buy? I'm not in the market per say but I am always looking. So you have 30k to spend on a new or used daily driver. Something other than a Ford otherwise this thread would be to easy to map out.
I think one of the cars I would consider would be a CTSV used of course. Or pick this one up to bad it has a salvage title

I know that you said no Fords, but right now that's all I'd consider or want. Next April when my lease is up on the Fusion I'll need a DD and grocery getter, something that won't prevent me from driving it in all sorts of bad weather.
The first on my list would be a used Sport Trac with reasonable mileage....4 doors and full four passenger, plenty of cargo space, and just the right weight distribution for the snow...and an automatic would be fine. Half Ranger, half Explorer. I like them.
Second choice would be an Edge.

I've always liked the G8s too. Did you see that the 2015 SS is getting a manual??

For 30G's you can get alot, but what I would go for is a 2011-2014 charger r/t, preferred to have the new 8 speed auto, or a challenger r/t classic all used of course. For now can't think of anything other I would be willing to buy.

My uncle has a 2009 G8 GXP. It has the LS3 matted to a 6-speed auto. That car seriously scoots. Not as quick as my 5.0, but it definitely holds its own. I've always been a Holden fan.

Eh it agree. And I looks almost identical to the Holden/G8/SS body, but that front end looks similar to the 2015 Mustang. Somehow, I think it works much better on the Falcon though.

I am very happy to hear that Ford finally did something right with their automatic transmissions though. The new auto stangs are killing the manuals at the track right now. I'm a fan of a good automatic which is something the mustang has been lacking forever.
