I'm going to miss the V10, but I'm sure the new one will perform quite well.

i personally find bmw exteriors uninteresting.
last ones that i like looking at were a couple of generations back.

but the interior and engine bay, that's another story.

Slower how? 1/4 mile, 0-60, 0-120, salom, etc. And how do you know? Has it already been compared in a test?

BMW's interiors finally look to be catching up with this decade, but the exterior is vanishing into mediocrity. I look at that and all I can here is Clarkson's bit:
"Hello, I'm looking for about 15 feet of BMW"
"Oh, then you want this one right here"

Agreed on the boring exterior. As far as the engine bay goes...I don't know wtf is goin on under there, but it looks evil...and I like it.

They are unobtainium as far as I'm concerned.

BMWs are for people like accountants and bankers. Goes with the suit.

I would say certain BMWs have been great cars for enthusiasts, and maybe the Z and 1M still are. But the 3,5, and 7-series have fallen from grace.

Maybe the 5 and 7 but not the M3.The M3 is the benchmark for other manufactures to match or beat

The M3 I would consider semi-independently from the regular 3-series, and I'm less than thrilled with the direction it's heading performance benchmark or no.

I had an E46 3-series, first new car I ever owned. Unfortunately it was also the most unreliable car I've ever owned, inclusing the '84 Oldsmobile I had back in highschool. Completely lost interest in German cars after that lemon.

The interior is still bleh. Exterior is okay. Performance will be good, although unreliable

For the amount of money these things cost, there should be a better choice than that.
