I don't know why so many people keep insisting on a 2 door Charger. The market for a full-size coupe is pretty much non-existing (plus, it would only make more competition to a Challenger).
I wouldn't mind seeing 2 door Charger as an option, but sedan must stay if Dodge wants any sales.

For me I would rather them not make a "Charger" period because that's not where it came from. It's like making a 4 door luxury sedan and calling it "Camaro" or "Mustang." Dragging the name through the mud IMO

Definitely not arguing the lack of market, thought

A Charger should have just two doors. Period. End of conversation. Anything else insults the name.

I like the new tail light treatment, and the revised interior appears to be a nice step in the right direction.

I drive an 07 Charger for my daily driver, and quite honestly, I love the way it looks - great car too. Then again, everything looks great in Tor-Red. Seems like a subtle restyle of what has been a very popular car in the Dodge line up. Not drastic enough to leave fans of the old design in the lurch.

I'm interested to see how the new 8-speed auto and V6 engines perform.

Are you being serious? By old design, do you mean the '69/'70 Charger? Those were gorgeous. There is NO comparison between the Charger of yesteryear and what they are pushing today.

Easy. I was referring to the 06 - current Charger. I grew up on the B-Body Chargers, and have owned one. If anyone can appreciate the "differences" it's me.

Let's not forget Chrysler has used the Charger name at various times since the 68-70 glory days. I honestly don't get why people get their shorts in such a wad over a name, and this coming from a classic Mopar fan. Let alone the fact that four door or not, an SRT8 Charger will eat the old B-body's lunch.

But if the Charger was two doors, they wouldn't have the Challenger to fill the muscle car niche for Mopar maniacs...

Anyways, it sounds like the '11 Charger is getting the Phoenix V6 that made its debut in the '11 Grand Cherokee. I also think the 6.4 liter Hemi will show up in the inevetable SRT-8 model as well.

People love them old Chargers - Bullitt, The Dukes of Hazzard, etc. Who didn't love the General Lee back in the day? We just wanted Chrysler to make a modern version of that iconic car. Had they done that, there may of never been a need for a Challenger?

I agree. Frankly, I've always thought the Challenger is what the Charger ought to be. Just slap some Charger badges on it and it wouldn't be too far off...
