2011 Camaro Droptop
looks like they fixed the headlights...
It is a mock up car much like the one in the "accessories" plus that car has been around for quite some time. You can see it's lights are like the bumblebee headlights. Notice the back up lamps aren't in the bumper like the production mules and likewise for the elf ear mirrors.

Hard to say they are definately taken at separate times of day but given the lack of rear spoiler, and no reverse lights in the bumper as well as all the fittings sticking out of the grille and rear bumper they are not the same mules as the HT's and those have been rumored for months to be around (clay mock up verts).
they also have two different sets of wheels.........does look great though. If the next gen mustang doesnt step it up, I may have to get one of these as my next two door. Kinda scary when I'm seriously considering the G8 for my next car, and I'm a Ford guy.
If that 4-cyl is gonna be putting out ~260hp, i dont think it will bother the crowd that traditionally buys V6 ponycars.
I still like the hardtop more than this though, never really been a vert guy.

Looks like GM has definitely gone cheap on the headlights. Amazing how design really is in the details, cause the overall profile adheres to that of the concept, but the production model loses something in translation - a result of changed details.
got to get past the "bean-couinter's" to actually make it production. Look at our own S-197. It's only now that enroads are being made to be more like our concept original. And those that do, pay dearly for it. GM, nor Dodge, will be any different. and by the time they come arround to what their market wants it will be "2010 The Year of the Mustang". By the bye, I didn't make that up, it's being bantered around at FORD for their solgan, for 2010, of our newer design.
Its clay, hence why the wheels are different and other parts are missing/incomplete
Just gives the idea of what the base model will look like.
Missing the hood/front scoop, smaller tires etc

Many of the complaints in this thread echo what I felt about the Mustang concept vs. the '05 release, but even more extreme. It's inevitable that some styling cues will be lost in the transition to the production version. This current version didn't lose very much from the concept - we'll see when they actually end up on the lots.
That being said, I think the Camaro is incredible! I will have one in the future, after the initial price surge. I love V8 RWD coupes!!!!
