Not as bad as I feared, worse than I hoped. Z8 is still the best-looking roadster BMW has done in the modern era.

Completely ugly and repulsive. It has no grace or beauty. It's horrible influences like this that cause things to happen like the rear of the new Mustang because the obsessive use of faddish ugly horrible "shock theatre" shapes are in vogue right now.

Just remember how ugly most cars were in 1959 and how designers were scurrying to tone down many monsterous horrific disfigured shapes during successive years.

Also, whenever there is an obsession to overuse the same shapes and surfacing repeatedly it gets tired really quick. The longevity and acceptance of the exploitation of ovals worked so well for the 1995 Taurus.

The front looks like it has a cross-eyed, goofy grin. At least they didn't keep that weird crease on the fender.

The front looks like they put 7 series size grilles on it.

The Official Name of that Crease, is "The Bangle Bungle." I'm not joking. That's what they called it in all of the articles I read when the last model debuted. It was Chris Bangles "Design Trademark."
