My interest in this cars revival is right up there with getting kicked in nuts . Still it's not severely ugly (at least in this prototype form) like the 350Z.

It's going to be very nice sports car. I wanted one but the price+dealer markup will be out of my reach.

I can almost guarantee that if this car stickers for somewhere in the $70,000 range, that dealers will have it marked up over $100,000 for sure. This car is the "brass ring" for Nissan dealers. They haven't had a car that they could charge outrageous ADM's on for a LONG TIME!!! Sad.

I enquired about it back in July/August and was told it would be around $70,000. I was expecting maybe $45,000--talk about sticker shock.

If their targeted competitor is the 911 Turbo, then they'd better keep the GT-R under the Porsche's price. After all, it's still a Nissan. If it's as good as the 911T and more expensive, which one would you buy?...

Well, it can easily undercut the Porsche (and it likely will) while still being way out of reach of the average consumer. This is a Japan's answer to the 911, and having watched that video, the Skyline GT-R looked very, very fast around that track.

Remember that the Skyline is almost as legendary in Japan as the Mustang or Corvette are in North America. And thus far, it's Japan's only true supercar offering, unless Lexus produces that dreadful looking LF-A, or whatever they're calling it this month.

The GT-R will spank our Stangs (GT500 included), that's for sure.
