Considering it was originally $23K and change when leaked not too long ago, I'm assuming not much.I'm still wondering what the actual market will be for a V6 Chally that weighs as much a light tank. Guess alot will depend on the MPG rating.
With that kind of weight, the V6 Mustang should spank it handily. If it can't, Ford better step up it's V6 game for 2010. Not the performance model, but people will still want to compare them on paper and on the streets...
With the way things are, why would people even consider buying this, or the G8 GT or even the Camaro that's going to come out fairly soon.
I see the Challenger being another GTO...another one bites the dust.

Yeah, but a gallon of gas costs $4.20 (and keeps going up) and my Intrepid had the same 3.5 that Challenger has and I was never able to get more than 15 mpg city.
Ford needs to deliver on that 400hp 5.0 GT. The G8 is already claiming to be the most powerful V8 equipped car under 30k with its 365hp, I see Dodge is edging it out at 370hp (I can see where this is going) and I bet the F5 will have at least 400hp and be under 30k when it hits (and positioning itself as the under 30k horsepower king).
I watch the concept to production of this car and I planned to buy it. Yes at first I thought I would have to sell my kids to get it. HAHA, just kidding. Time was close to the released of the hemi's and I got itchy for the car. I knew I would be buying a V6 so I took out a 3.5 charger hmmm that left me completely flat. I returned home did some more research to find out that the car is too big too heavy and too slow. So I drove my stang chased a vette and a GT down the highway on the testdrive. I was grinning from ear to ear. So I bought my stang. It is the second one I've owned but the first one that is brand new, I know I will not look back.
Every time I see this car I cant help but think about that stupid steering wheel. If the mustang had a Fusion steering wheel, I would never have taken it for a test drive.
And about the G8, I dont understand two things about it. #1 wheres the AWD? 90% of people that live anywhere that gets a little snow will not by a rear drive sedan. Its pointless, they will have to get another car for the winter anyway, so the rear drive car will more than likely be a true sports car. #2 Where are the interior amenities? No bluetooth, nav, or satellite radio. It really makes me wonder who authorizes these decisions.

These cars are very, very cool - but have arrived about six years too late. The Challenger has a very limited - and probably shrinking - market. If gas keeps heading for the stratosphere, I predict that once rich collectors and enthusiasts have had their fill, these things will be sitting on lots at cut rate prices. The price of oil has pretty much guaranteed that Dodge is gonna lose money on this car over the long haul.
History repeating itself.
