hate to say it, but it looks better than the new Focus. If only we got the Euro-Focus

It can't compete with Focus because Focus Hatchback don't exist anymore.

That is one nice looking car!
a couple of exterior mods and it would look great!
don't like that grill too much.
the 3 door hatch is the one to go for imo.

It looks better than the VW Rabbit and it looks as good as the new Mazda3 (I don't like the little refresh touches on the new Mazda3).

Seems like those rims will be on the top trim level on the 5 door. The 3 door hatch has only one trim level, so it should come with those wheels

If you watch Clarkson's Focus ST review for TG he says the Astra's comperable and a good buy, but it torque steers like a pig and can't match the ST on the twisties.

Looks like GM's doing what some members here want Ford to do - bring some Euro-based designs, like the "hot-hatch" small cars to America. IMO, this could steal some sales away from the imports, the Cobalt, and the Focus. If Saturn brings out a Redline version, gets the quality up, and tames the torque steer (would a Cobalt SS drivetrain work?) - watch out.
