all you would have to change is the bumper and the hood to get it Ausi looking... If I were to get one, I would do it in a heartbeat

Oooh, it just hit me... a nice flat blue color (grabber blue-like) for the exterior, with that same color of the leather inserts in the interior, and it would look even better

Just gave Holden.com a visit, and they have my favorite line-up of cars!

I hope the G8 has a stance like the Commodore's
Look at how raised the rear is!
And "in your face" colors like these could be awesome

and look at those flared wheel wells!

(this is my second favorite car, behind the Vantage )

Look at this blue!

I have a bit more faith in pontiac. I have hated the tacky designs for 20 years, the G8 is a nice looking sled, and I played around with a G6 vert a few months ago, what a change from the Transformer cladding-monsters they had just a couple years ago. Still not big on the Solstice though....Although the vast majority of 'new' gm products lately are just rebadges of cars in other nations.

But with the G8, talk about putting the minimum effort into something. If its really that easy, wth is Ford doing with the Falcon!!?? I hear the XR6 motors are easilly hopped up near the 1000hp mark. Ugh, its frustrating. I wonder how much effort and money is going into a near-exclusive shell for the MKS when a re-badge of a Falcon would be an overnight home run for Lincoln(could of been even more so 5 years ago-helping the launch of the new stuff they have now). What a waste of resources.

This is precisely what Ford needs to be doing with its best global assets, though the persistent rumor is that Mulally is in the process of doing just that. Ford could use the Aussie Falcon in North America and make minor modifications to suit the market. Same notation for the Euro Mondeo, a car that Mulally himself said ought to be sold over here. If it works for GM, there's no reason the same strategy wouldn't work for Ford, too, and stem the sales hemorrhaging.
