It's different looking at least, I don't like it, but remember that this isn't the real thing.

meh, i think it looks cool. I'd definitely prefer that to a Monte Carlo, which is the closest thing chevy has to offer at this point. I might go so far as to say I'd prefer this to the GTO. Stands out quite a bit more.

That is a photoshop based on someone's educated guess on what it will look like.

I will reserve judgement until I see the real thing... I'll bet they will address the current GTO's bland styling as it got a lot of negative press.
Thank god, I was about to say the same thing. (Glad I read further before posting... )

Seriously, that's a pretty blatant photoshop, seemingly based on a pic of the current Goat. All they did was throw the basic themes from those concept sketches onto the current GTO. I would be surprised if that's what it looks like, if there even is an '08 GTO.

Ugh, it reminds me of the HUGE noses Pontiac's used to come with.

That's a face not even a mother could love.

Um...did anyone catch this?
It’s not shown here, but we hear GM is considering doing this GTO as a four-door coupe, using rear-hinged rear-access doors without visible handles.
Yeegads...be like Dodge and 4 door Charger-ish? Making 4 door sports cars?

I think the 4-door thing is supposed to be like the Mazda RX-8.

Well, it's probably all academic now, since there may not even BE a GM by 2008.

Dear god, how does GM screw everything up so badly???? 500hp wouldn't save that car, its hideous. I know people think the current one is bland, but at least it isn't ugly.

It really doesn't matter if they give the car a minor facelift. The GTO is an insignificant player in this sector of the market and styling is the major reason. GM still doesn't get that and that's just one reason why they're in such bad shape today.

Agreed.

How hard is it? The GTO was an awesome looking car- make the new one look like the old one! GM's goin down the drain because they just don't get it. Not even when Ford and Dodge are starting to roll out the retro models. They crank out another cookie-cutter car. What are they thinking?
