2008 GMC Sierra
I can imagine the conversation between GM execs about this one:
"Lord help us! We bet the farm on stuff like this at a time when gas prices went through the roof and truck sales are falling like a lead balloon. What other mistakes can we make before the company goes under? I hope my retirement plan is still intact."

Completely indistinct. Generic "don't offend" styling, uninterestign highlight/trim work. An interior left over from the 1990s. Its everything the Press said was wrong with Ford's most recent offerings( interior aside), which of course means they'll love it.

I think they just keep it simple because a big chunk of the truck market is for work trucks, and the companies that buy them don't care about styling. They just want the size and power they need to do the job at the lowest price possible. Especially when bigger companies need to buy several trucks, a little extra money adds up quickly. I know not just workers buy pick-ups, but also people who do want something nicer, which why for example Ford has the King Ranch, or Harley Davidson versions, or GMC had the Denali Sierra. They don't go crazy producing those though because like I said, I think the market is geared more towards cheap, daily driver trucks that can be beat up.

but man that interior is typical GM -eeeeeek.
