I'm pretty sure you can't get a two door explorer anymore. the explorer sport has been gone for a couple years now. maybe they figure the escape sorta covers this segment now... kind of...
i always liked those two door smaller suvs, like the explorer sport, the jimmy and the blazer, or even the bronco, the two door jeep cherokee. they were cool. They should make a two door escape.

Ya, it could be that they stopped selling them in canada a while ago or something, my guess was 2001 was the last year. But i'm probably crazy, time has just started moving very slowly since i started university and 2003 just seemd like more than two years ago...
anyways, as of now, there are no more two door explorers:

and i'm pretty sure i heard news of that at least a year ago.

ya, i agree, they were cool, i always liked the idea of a small two door suv. i remember at some point thinking that was the kind of car i would want.
in canada at least, i know they still offer the old GMC Jimmy and Chevy Blazer duo, only in two-door versions.

small size, but still got the towing and offroad capability of non-car-based suvs like the escape and equinox...

That's the ugliest Explorer yet. I'd gladly take my old '93 over that one. The engine will be it's only saving grace.
It looks like it was lifted directly out of the GM book of ugly car design. Highly disappointed.

Prices range from $24,615 to $29,055 to start. There is an Adrenalin version offered now but it is not the SVT version that we are thinking of yet.
That picture is essentially what it will look like, the one at NYIAS was red though.
