The kid could be very responsible for all we know. However, I'd be scared to take a new car to school if I was him. Too many haters too eager to key it.

I think that's an awesome thing, and hope the kid is as lucky as I was in not getting in trouble.

/Too bad it's a Camaro though.

Good God that interior is fugly as hell.

I really applaud GM for hiring the blind and mentally challenged to design their interiors. They need work like everyone else.

I really, really hope this kid is responsible. His dad should include a full time data logger/nanny as part of the deal.

If he had gotten him a stang with "MyKey" he could have weened the kid into it so to speak.

From watching the video, the kid seems super appreciative and responsible enough. Although, I still question the dad's logic in giving a 16 yr old a 426hp car. You can as responsible as you want to be and still make an honest mistake and end your life in a car like that....

I agree. It's not so much a question of the kid's responsibility as it is his lack of driving experience. What's wrong with the 304-horse V6 Camaro?

It does depend on the kid. He might be very responsible, however, what is his insurance bill going to be like.

Very true. Insurance companies don't take "he's a responsible kid" into consideration. I do wish him the best though and hope he takes good care of it!
