OK...maybe off topic and probably doesnt belong in these forums but I was at the drags this weekend and they had a new 09 Challenger there. Very nice looking car IMO, what do you guys think?

Yeah, there's a black Challenger in a local dealership near where I live..nice looking car for sure![Headbang](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/headbang.gif)
I had originally set my sights on purchasing one of those, however the Mustang eventually won my heart.

It's okay. Great timing by Dodge with the gas prices the way they are.

That's it? Hopefully it was the driver and not the car.
I was headed to a cruise in last night and one was going in the opposite direction. First I've seen, it was orange, and looked HUGE. I still think it's good looking in style though and the best of the LX cars.
Unfortunately it never did come to the cruise in

All of them turned MANY heads, that's for sure. Red and Silver colors were on the track. An Orange was parked in the lot probably owned by a spectator. When the Orange pulled in, I had to look twice because I though the car was an old model. He stopped people in their tracks while parking.
Not very loud stock. A stock Stang is louder. The 13.86 was its best run of the day out of 4 total (Red and Silver). One of them did a 14.28.
Its a beautiful car but I agree the Stang is "sexier". I would not trade my GT/CS in for one.

I stopped to check out a Black one today at a local dealer. Sticker (MSRP) was $41K and some change and the dealer ADM was $10K. The car looks great, aside from the 20" wheels and the fake carbon fiber stickers. I think this car with some 18" and some ET streets would look killer.
I'm sure with the standard mods for any V8, the 6.1L will come alive. I looked into what was available for these cars already and they are getting 100HP to the wheels more with existing bolt-ons.
With some decent gearing, smaller wheels with sticky tires, some bolt-ons and a decent driver, look for these things to be in the 11s by end of August.
It's supercharge your GT or be glad you don't have $55K invested when you get beat.

I've seen a pair of '08 Challenger SRT8's now and really like how they look. I wonder what the trap speed is in the 1/4 mile (more an indication of its power, while ET's reflect traction and driver ability). 100 mph trap speed would indicate a mid 13 second capable car, 105 mph trap speed would indicate a low 13 second capable car, etc.
