This counts as an "Other Ford" right?
anyways, check out these spy shots of the next XK http://thecarconnection.com/index.asp?n=17...78&article=7852
They're saying 4.2 V8, 320hp for base XK, with the supercharged XKR gettin about 450hp. THen they say that jaguar WILL (not might, sweet) boost power in 2008 or 2009, possibly pushing the XKR over 500hp.
Saweet.

I really hope so. To be competitive, the XK8 should have at least 350 horsepower, with the XKR topping out at close to 500. Jaguar is a perplexing manufacturer. According to the Autoweek story using those same spy shots, the XK8 & R models wouldn't even get new engines, just carryovers from the current models. I love Jag styling, but power is anemic compared to similarly priced vehicles from competing manufacturers.

It counts as a Ford Motor Company car, but not as a "Ford."
Jaguar's V-8 is not a Ford V-8.

The 2006 Jaguar XK will use the aluminum chassis from the new XJ which will help a lot. The flagship XJ, the Super V8, weighs over 800 pounds less than the BMW 760Li.
Here are some videos of the new XJ
