Okay guys I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on buying this truck. It looks awesome, runs great. And has the quadrasteer system in it. Which I've heard great things for towing. It has Awd. My concerns is that am I going to be able to drive in a 1 foot of snow or am I gonna be one of the idiots that got a truck that has no back bone. I have an f150 fx4; so I'm used to going in lots of snow and have no restrictions. If I want to be restricted to black top, I rather go buy a lightning. Just wondering if anyone out there has experience with the Awd from GM and how it'd be compatible to my f-150. Thanks for your input. Please no hating on switching car brand, be nice

Sure do! Had an 03 Denali with the 6 liter and awd. That thing would go through anything. I drove it for a few years then my wife drove it because she felt so safe in it. We eventually traded it on a Chrysler Aspen because she liked the looks and features of the aspen and she wanted something newer. That was in 2008 and still today she regrets it and everytome we see a Denali on the road we both say dang it! We ended up buying a gmc crew cab 1500 truck and it comes close but still not as good.

So it sounds like it'd be worth the buy, I'd enjoy it too, along with going thru good amount of snow!

Going thru snow in NE Indiana / northern Ohio was no problem in the 03.

That 04 is also one of the best years GM trucks you will buy. Should still have a throttle cable along with 4 wheel disk brakes. That's 130k+ before needing brakes. The quad steer can be costly if it ever breaks. The center console finish will peel but Plastidip should work great for refinishing it. It should have just a few more common quirks but all rather inexpensive to repair. The transmission is the weakest link in these and it's just a toss up if yours will last forever or crap out. Overall it should be a wonderful truck. And the resale should still hold pretty well.
