Will you drive your 2005 mustang in winter?

That may be a stupid question but I guess here in Canada, we have to think about it. I'm thinking I may drive my old car in the winter and find a garage for the stang... Then again this is a pricey car that I'd like to drive more than 6 month a year. What do you think?

Depends on where I am working.

If I continue to work where I am, which is about 8km from home, then the salty commute is not that bad.

If I have to get a job where I drive considerably farther, example over 20km away, then I would look at getting a winter beater.

I live in Pittsburgh. They say this winter will be snowy, but I will still be driving my 05.

I wonder if traction control will do a good job on icy or snowy road... I'm in Quebec and every winter is snowy!

Yep, when I get mine...it'll see winter...

I guess it depends on how BADLY.

I currently drive my V6 in the snow (with the stock 225s) and its not bad at all.

The new one will handle way better.

Down here in Windsor, we don't get as much snow; but yes I would drive my new Mustang in the winter.

As the commercial says "Built for life in Canada"

I drove my 2000 V6 (manual) through last winter and I will never drive it in the snow again. I just bought a house with a 25'X30' heated garage and both my Stangs will be hibernating inside from now on. Picked up a used 96' Saturn as my winter beater to get me through.

Fortunately for you Dan Toronto's winter time isn't as harsh as here.

I think it's a shame to buy a 40000$ car and let it sit in a garage for 5 month a year but then again it would be a shame to waste it in the snow and calcium...

Can't decide yet...

Going to let that pony sleep for the winter. Run the 05 here for a winter, and you might have the glass left come spring!

Hey StangMary, what kind of deal did you get? I'm wondering if Québec dealers are ready to go lower than the MSRP...

Frank,
Where have you put your order ?? (dealer's name)
I've called at least 5 or 6 dealers before finding one who will accept the X-plan....

That's cool !!!
As I told you, in the Montreal area it's more difficult to have the X-plan...
I hope I will have my built date this week.... (I cannot wait anymore !!!! (J'en peux plus d'attendre !!! :bang: ))
