Looks like Calgary is the last canadian team standing...
the game tonight was a thriller, but it was a tough ending, giving up a pair of 2 on1 breaks.
What is really sad is that it looks like Ron Francis will finish his illustrious career as a heathy scratch, and I think it is a shame on Quinn for doing that.

Antropov sucks (but is Quinn's prodigy so he keeps him around - so get rid of Quinn also), McCabe lost his nuts in the playoffs, Kaberle needs to be traded.
Ah well. I'm going golfing.

I was tired of Antropov taking all those stupid penalties and giving the puck away...
I don't know what happened to McCabe... (but my father now hates him.. LOL)
don't get me wrong.. there is no reason to tear this team apart...
They should have signed Derian Hatcher in the summer though.. their decence is still weak IMO

They always do stupid poo like 'seemed like a good idea at the time' crap...
They make these trades that they think will buy a cup...but they ain't Detroit..and those aren't the players to do it.
Something about the Leafs building a team...has never hit home with that organization...they always want the quick/easy way..that never works...goombahs

They still do it better than the Rangers...
this team is a good one in my mind... just a few pieces missing... the problem is that as much as i LOVE wide-open hockey, they gotta slow it down and play the trap in the playoffs.... that is the reason they lost in OT. They were going for the win and let Roenick and Recchi (2 amazing players) have a pair of 2 on 1 breakaways.

My father now hates McCabe too
The team is okay but some people need to be sent packing.
Hatcher would have been nice. The team improved quite a bit (and the power play was much better) after Leetch came to T.O.

not to mods: I guess we can scrap the poll... with calgary being the last team standing.
looks like the Face of the NHL is changing.. we got 3 young, strong teams with small payrolls and 1 big-budget veteran team left. It looks as if the big-budget teams are getting too old to compete.
I also like it that most of these teams play a fast game... death to the trap!!!

problem is most owners don't wanna give up 4 rows of the best seats in the house.
I say get rid of the centre ice red line, start getting some long passes, and how about getting rid of chasing the puck for icing.. (I am starting to sound like Don Cherry)
