On the radio this morning Ford was advertising that you can now get up to $3500 Cdn back on top of your best deal for an 04 Mustang.

Nice time to buy if you prefer the old style/can't afford the new model.

Dan,

Dixie Ford STILL has the 0% offer on Cobras, I was in the dealer last night, stared the snake in the face and walked away.

I think they do. They are also desperate to sell the Cobras. Plus, on the radio it said "all mustangs". Could be taken different ways though, I'll admit.

Even if it was true, I'm dead set on getting an 05. With those rebates, I could probably swing a Cobra if I got a decent amount for my Probe GT (which I probably could right now anyways).

But take one look at the new Ford commercial and you'll soon be reminded about why the 05 is the only way to go.

Dano, I was too scared to inquire,

lucky they don't make sonic blue '04's

They do have a comp. orange ragtop, which would be cool

If they had offered this in June, I would probably be driving an '04 Cobra... lucky I just started new job then and didn't have the funds.

The 03/04 Cobra is still quite a bit of change even with all the rebates. Plus, the fact you need premium gas and higher insurance doesn't help. So these extra costs plus the fact that its the old platform definately discouraged me from getting one......aside from the fact that the 05 has tons of improvements and is going to be one fun daily driver even if it doesn't have 400hp.

That's something that never really crossed my mind, getting a Cobra of this generation, defenately this platform was way overdue for a change, yes the Cobra is a very fast car but so obsolete.....
